Second Opinion
A neurosurgical diagnosis is life-changing. A second opinion can confirm your diagnosis, surface options you haven’t been offered, and give you confidence in whatever path you choose.
Why a Second Opinion
Cerebrovascular conditions rarely have a single “right” answer. An unruptured aneurysm may be treated with clipping, coiling, flow diversion — or safely observed. Because Dr. Dalyai practices both open microsurgery and endovascular techniques, his recommendation is not tied to any one modality.
How It Works
Call the ECU Health Neurosurgery & Spine Center at 252-847-1550 and ask about a second-opinion consultation with Dr. Dalyai. Your physician can also refer you directly.
The clinic will guide you through securely sending your imaging (MRI, CT, angiogram) and relevant records — never send medical records by email or through this website.
Dr. Dalyai reviews your imaging with you, explains the findings in plain language, and walks through every reasonable option — surgical, endovascular, and observation — so you can decide with confidence.
Important Information
Not for emergencies. If you are experiencing stroke symptoms (sudden weakness, facial droop, trouble speaking, the worst headache of your life) or any medical emergency, call 911 immediately. A second opinion is for non-urgent decisions only.
No doctor–patient relationship is created by this website. A relationship is established only after a formal consultation through ECU Health.
Protect your information. Please do not send medical records, imaging, or personal health details through this website or by email. All records are exchanged through ECU Health’s secure, HIPAA-compliant channels.
No obligation. A second opinion does not commit you to treatment with Dr. Dalyai or ECU Health. Use it however it best serves your care.
